This year we are celebrating 75 years of Cartimar, the first ever shopping center in the country. It is more than just a collection of shops; Cartimar is a community intent on serving shoppers by giving them access to products that are often hard to find. At a time when one had to travel just to buy international brands, Cartimar was already the place to go for PX goods. Even now, this is where people shop for specialty items like bike parts, pets, aquariums, and authentic ingredients.
As we mark this major milestone, I am filled with nostalgia because I grew up with Cartimar, and I’ve personally seen the growth of our merchants. Many of them have successfully expanded beyond our corridors and are now being managed by second and even third generation owners. I am deeply thankful not only for our shared success, but for all the people who have faithfully served our customers and created that friendly and familial atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Cartimar.
Of course we would not be here if not for the generations of customers who have made Cartimar a part of their daily lives. It is that trust and loyalty that continues to inspire us to keep improving and keep building this community – a place filled with unique discoveries, great food, and meaningful connections.
